Model Context Protocol
Bring Timbre into the tools where you work.
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, or another MCP client to search public recordings and explore cited perspectives without leaving your workflow.
MCP connections are included with Studio and above. You sign in on Timbre’s own screen, there is no API key to copy, and your connected client uses the same library, permissions, and question allowance as Timbre.
Connect from
On the web or desktop app, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Paste the address, then sign in to Timbre and approve. It is then available on mobile too.

What your assistant can call
list_subjects
Who is compiled, and how much of their record there is.
search
Passages from one person's transcripts, linked to the second they were said.
principles
Their recurring reasoning patterns, each with the timestamps behind it.
ask
Talk an idea through with the labelled simulation. Cited, the same as on the website.
council
Several people from the library weigh in on one decision, each with citations and a lean.
Product Council
Let the library weigh in while your agent builds.
For Claude Code and Codex.
When your coding agent reaches a product decision, such as pricing, positioning or what to build next, it can convene a council: 2 to 5 people from the library, picked by who has the most on the record about it. Each answers from their own public engagements, cites the second they said it, and says which option the record points to.
You make the call. The agent writes it to DECISIONS.md in your repo, and the next agent, Claude Code or Codex, reads it first and builds on it instead of reopening it.
- 1. Connect Timbre to Claude Code or Codex, as above.
- 2. Add the council skill. It tells the agent when to convene a council and how to keep the decision log.

curl -fsSL --create-dirs -o ~/.codex/skills/timbre-council/SKILL.md https://asktimbre.com/skills/timbre-council/SKILL.md
- 3. Ask for a council, or let the agent call one before a hard-to-reverse product call.
A council spends one question from your daily allowance. Its answers are labelled simulations grounded in public engagements, not advice or endorsement, and connecting means accepting the terms for connected apps.
Grounded in the public record
Explore a perspective. Keep the evidence in reach.
Timbre’s answers are labelled AI simulations, not the people themselves. They link back to public interviews, talks, and podcasts so you can check what was said and what is an application to your own decision.
